Vote for Obama's day one priorities

What would you ask President-elect Obama to do On Day One about the myriad global challenges that we face today?

This has been the central question at OnDayOne.org, a project of the UN Foundation, for the last 11 months. And as the Inauguration looms around the corner, it's time to decide on some answers.

Vote for the top priorities for President-elect Obama at OnDayOne.org!

Over the course of the project, individuals submitted close to 5,000 ideas for our 44th President, from fighting global poverty, to fighting global warming. Today, that massive list has been narrowed to the top nine ideas in each of our nine issue areas - and it's up to you to choose the top ideas to send to President-elect Obama.

For the next week, you'll vote for your favorite ideas, and the top ideas in each of our nine issue areas will form the On Day One 9 for '09. Then, starting in January, you'll select the top idea overall, and we'll present your agenda to President-elect Obama.

Each of the top nine ideas will win prizes, and we'll bring the author of the top idea for Day One to Washington D.C. for the Inauguration!

It's been a long journey, but we're almost there. We face a range of global problems that will require tough work across the country and across the world. Help us shape the agenda for President-elect Obama by voting for the top ideas for On Day One.
